No one is more optimistic than I, but this will get ugly. There are about 4-5 guys on this team right now that will kick you in the gonads and laugh.....till we get another 10 or 12 guys like that we will get smacked about.

This will more than likely get ugly early.

I have to and hate to agree. I think we are in for a very long game. The scary thing is is that LSU is just as young, if not younger than we are. They are managing to put it all together with a young team, while we are still struggling.

i think lsu is going to start a freshman pitcher i've really never heard of. i think cajuns stand a good chance of winning in light of the pitching match up.

Win or lose, I want the Cajuns to start playing more consistently. I'd like to see Solich throw strikes early in the count, and show more consistancy overall. If he gives up some hits/runs, I'm OK with that as long as he starts throwing some strikes early. Our pitchers this year that have had trouble have consistently pitched behind in the count. I guess the same could be said for our hitters, but they've shown a little more consistancy of late. I'd like the midweek games to help us find a fourth starter for the conference tournament.

LSU is starting a freshman but he is 2-1 with an ERA under 3. We will probably lose this game because we just can not seem to put together a complete game.

Ross' primary pitches are a sinking 2-seam fastball in the 90->92 range and a slider. He has good command of both. Ross was one of the best high school pitchers in the state last season.
