I lived on campus from 2000-2004 and I never ever heard anything about a basketball game during the season. Not even sidewalk chalk about it. And that is the easiest cheapest way to promote on campus. Not a pushcard, not a poster, not a sign, nothing. And we had some NCAA tourney teams then.
BBall as referenced by CajunsMike is a tough sell down south. But we could do better than we are doing with promotions.
UlXRunner has a good point that we should do more to get students encouraged to attend basketball games. What type of things would do this. Some suggestions have been made here. I am sure there are other good ones. Who do those ideas get forwarded to folks in sports marketing?

It was actually Boomer's idea. I do not remember if it was this year or last year he brought it up, but all his. I like it very much and I will post a picture of the sign I make once it is complete.

    Stop the madness!

Can you imagine the number of posts we will see if Boomer thinks we like them! Let's just quietly give him props for a very good idea ... and move on. He is right now, as we post, teaching poor 3rd world Bahamians, the art of Boomerism ... but beware, he will return!

what happen to the two UPC three point shots during the media timeout(1 in each half) those were always interesting, especially when the pot grew to a large sum.
