Again, what does a billboard do to help students get excited with the idea of attending a basketball game. The game itself is not going to sell, not here.

Marketing?
Regarding style of play, games have been entertaining this year as we are in the Top 15 in the nation in scoring. We try to push the tempo as often as possible-especially in the home games. I have posted that several times and Jay has mentioned it on his show several times. Against, a team that tried to slow us down (Texas State) we scored 80 points.but some people still don't realize the preferred style is now to play aggressive on offense. Granted, that was not always the case in Coach Marlin's tenure here and we have had trouble setting tempo in some road games. The past style was likely due to personnel and I think we could press on defense more today. I think we push the tempo at home now because we have more depth than any other team in the league. When you get two teams who like to play an up tempo game the action can be almost-non stop. Friend of mine came to the UTA game and said he was tired at halftime just watching. That is because the Cajuns and Mavs both wanted to play up tempo. That is likely to be the same situation on Thursday night against Georgia State.
UlXRunner has a good point that we should do more to get students encouraged to attend basketball games. What type of things would do this. Some suggestions have been made here. I am sure there are other good ones. Who do those ideas get forwarded to folks in sports marketing?
lighting a fire under their asses would absolutely create the worlds worst case of the red Azz.
