Justin Robichaux reaches a milestone

UL closer Justin Robichaux tied the program's single-season record for saves with his eighth of the year in Saturday's first game against Troy. The sophomore gave up two runs but struck out a season-high five batters in 3.2 innings to seal a 5-3 win. His eight saves are tied for the most by a Cajun, matching the mark set by Aaron Welbourne in 2000. Robichaux, a Notre Dame graduate, is five saves short of UL's all-time record of 12 held by Kraig Schambough, who played for the Cajuns from 2002-05. Congratulations goes to Justin he did this in a down year with so few chances so it really is a great accomplishment. I don't know how he did it considering he was hurt for a few weeks. Keep it up.

I can be as critical as anyone when it comes to how you coach the game but you are harsh. Robe tried to turn Danny Farquhar into a starter and you are trying to turn that into a slap in the face. It is real simple, if Danny did what coach taught him he would still be the Friday night ace.

Get a life man. You don't go from unhittable to can't throw a strike because you move from the bullpen to the rotation. It seems to be a revolving door around here.

It figures that since we aren't hitting on all cylinders in baseball, someone wants to hack on the father/son thing. The Cajuns problems this year are not related to where and what Justin is doing.

I remember asking a recruiter from "another school" if Brandon Stokley was any good... he said, "nope, just a coach's son". Later, once Brandon more than proved himself, I was talking to one of our "other" WR's brother and he was slamming Brandon. He said "he ain't good, his dad just designs all of the plays around him" - (to which I thought "thank goodness"). I wonder if Nelson told and is telling the Ravens, Colts and now the Broncos how to run their offense around Brandon?

Yep, when things are down, human nature has us looking around with a microscope trying to figure out who's cheating us.

Baseball isn't our problem at UL, and bad baseball isn't permanent around here.

Danny seems to be trying to over pitch rathe than hit his spots! Danny is not doing what he was taught by Robe which helped him get noticed in the first place. Justin had a ZERO ERA this past Summer in a very good league the young man is very good and tuff, that is why he is where he is.

Robe will get as much out of this team as he can, T-Robe is doing his job(now only pitching, no longer on first), Danny needs to refocus and do his job!

What stadium vote and who votes? Please explain!

I watched the game on TV for a few before I made it out there, and they were talking about how there was an architectural firm looking at the situation, and that we should have a timeline or something set into place within the next year.

I can't remember if they mentioned the vote, or if I had read about it on here, but I'd also like to know who was voting, what they voted on, and what the result was.

Probably one of those situations where only some people know...so then they come here with all this news and talk about what they know, but cannot disclose a lot of information, so that leaves everyone else clueless. And then those that are clueless start hear some rumors, so then they post what they have heard. Next thing you know, we have about 15 different stories, of which, all 15 are probably false!
