HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana became the second Southland Conference school in as many nights to frustrate Louisiana as the Lions used an eight-run second inning to defeat the Ragin’ Cajuns 14-4 Wednesday night at Alumni Field.
Wednesday’s loss was the first for Louisiana (20-21) at Alumni Field since an 11-inning 12-11 heartbreaker on March 16, 2005, snapping a six-game win streak in the series. Louisiana’s setback at SLU (22-18) was its third straight on the road in non-conference play.
