Since the name thing has us all in a tizzy and people just can't let it go or not worry about it since it's the umpteenth time this has happened...let's start the discussion on our Louisiana baseball team that comes in ranked #23rd in the nation according to Collegiate Baseball. I'll be at the opener...will you be?

Can't get here soon enough! I know that football drives the bus, but I am a baseball fan first and have been cheering in the first base bleachers for a quarter-century!

I have been on the 3rd base side since 1983. Made most games until 1993 when I moved, but was still able to make the CWS in 2000. When I first moved back to Lafayette I continued my ways on the 3rd base side, then moved to the grand stand and this year finally a box seat behind home plate. I am ready for some baseball.

I like the way you think! When I first moved back to Lafayette all of my friend's wives wanted to set me up with someone, of course it was always someone who was a Refineryville fan. Needless to say none of them worked out for me.

Love baseball. Got 2 more season tix this year. Very excited about this team. Interested to see how the rotation rounds out. Lots of potential here. Schedule is also the best its been in years. Pumped about 2014.

I was looking at the rosters posted for the baseball and softball teams and the breakdown in experience if amazing.

The baseball team lists a roster of 32 with 22 being juniors (12) or seniors (10).

The softball team lists a roster of 28 with 23 being freshmen (9) or sophomores (14).
