Microsoft today announced their partnership with GW Micro_to provide people who are blind, visually impaired, or print disabled with a completely functional and free license of GW Micro’s Window-Eyes screen reader. If you own a_licensed version of Office 2010 or later, Microsoft gives you the ability to download Window-Eyes, a screen reader for Windows PCs, free of charge. A fundamental consideration during product design, development and testing of Office is the level of accessibility of our applications. The Office team works closely with a variety of groups to improve the accessibility of our software including standards bodies, regulators, advocacy groups and an ecosystem of assistive technology (AT) vendors including the Narrator team in Microsoft.
