But they have one awesome scoreboard plus the screen. Of course they got it due to the one that UT bought. _

When Texas last replaced their video screen, it was sold to the University of Houston. I don't know what A&M was going to do with theirs when they replaced it to keep up with UT. I told that to Gerald Hebert when we played UH here in Houston a couple of years ago and he said he would look into that as it would have been a big improvement over what we currently have, similar to UH. I don't know what ever happened in that regard as I haven't seen Gerald since then. Come to think of it, I don't recall hearing much from Gerald in the last year or so. He was on top of so many projects and keeping us informed as to their status. Any one know what is going on with Gerald these days?

I spoke to Gerald a couple of weeks ago. Right now he is in the middle of planning fall sports Fan Day. We did not discuss any other ongoing projects.

Somebody needs to pull out the shop vac and get rid of all of that sand/dirt on the side of the field, what's that all about? Come on boys, gotta keep the carpet clean!

I believe that's sand that still needs to be spread out on the field. If it's extra, they'll remove it when they're done. Take a breath. Ohmmmmmmmmmm......

After they brushed the field some sand was piled up and they put it in the front loader and spread it on the side line. they will brush that into the turf when they have the field finish.

Just a little FYI: when you bring up the live cam they have a link to the picutre gallery. The picks of the new turf make for a good desktop background.

With the new field, are they planning on any other upgrades? For example, possibly newly painted casing for the scoreboard. I don't know if any of you have noticed, but the thing is quite faded. I just figured that the new turf will make the rest of the stadium look very outdated. I could be really late on this topic, but just wondering how they were going to make the rest of The Swamp look as great.
