If you are talking about McNesse, I hope they skip some critical steps here. Because it sure look good........it looks like they are working at night because the lights or on every night and I don't see anyone during the day. I went check it out today and no one was on the field. Also yesterday no one.
That explains why I see things change from day to day without seeing any activity. Must be a crew from the North and not used to the heat down here. They are not a local crew (or Contractor doing earthwork) as most of their equipment is rented. (even the dump trucks). Since the equipment is rented I figure they want to finish ASAP to avoid additional rental costs.
I wonder if they can get a concrete truck through the tunnel. If not they will have to pump. I guess if they work at night I won't find out.
Signage...bad idea. The signs they put and the black paint above the student section side looks cheesy. I hope they don't continue in this fashion.
Bricks...good idea. At least it will look somewhat nice.
They could always wrap a banner around the wall for this season, something red. That wouldn't be too bad.
I'm kidding mainly... but I do believe we have a little more to contend with at Cajun Field, just due to the nature of the drainage system under the field. As for no work progress... who knows? It could be that they discovered something during preparation, waiting on something in the process, can't make progress until something is settled/cured... don't know.
I was kidding about McNeese's contractor having skipped some steps... but, I would prefer to know that we installed our field the right way, to last and stay in tip top form, than to meet an aggressive deadline... other than the deadline of the first home opener. JMHO
