If what you are talking about is the orange fencing, that was left over from the DCI show last week. They fenced it off for the judges.

I wonder what MM means by a crack in the concrete ABOVE the press box? And is she talking about inside or outside the stadium.

I may not have the right term...but the cement above the huge box (I know I sound like an idiot) with the curtains is cracked and sagging like it could fall in...just wondering about it because it looks so dangerous. BUT the field is truely...WOW. What a thrill to stand on it. Take care. We are Houston bound Aug 28th!!!!!I am talking about inside of the stadium looking up from the field.

The chances of it falling at some point are pretty good, but the chances of it hitting anybody are very remote. Thousands upon thousands of hours a year, and only about 25 hours when anyone is actually in the place.

There was some extentive damage done to the roof of the press box during the tornado's we had a few weeks back. I was told that the damage could excede $500K. They are hoping that insurance will take care of it. As far as danger to the fans, that's something that will have to be looked into. Hopefully not after the facts.

A tornado hit Cajun Field a few weeks ago? I had not seen that reported anywhere.

Did we have any other kind of damage?

Yes it was back in April, I remember now. There was a Tornado in the Oil Center area and destructive winds across the acadiana area.

No other damage. This was the tornado's that hit the oil center and done all the damage there. It must have spawn off a small twister over canjun field. You don't hear anything about it. This was told to me by the UL maintenance supervisor a couple of months ago.
