Thread: Fielding the NEW Swamp

  1. #577

    Default Cajun Field

Has anybody been to the stadium lately? I stopped by the other night to see the turf but didn't really walk in, did they do any of the mainenance? ie. the C on Cajun Field, get all of the weeds out of the bleachers, paint, etc.? I noticed a few things that need painting such as the black wall around the field, the big red concrete square by the tunnel needs a fresh coat of red. I saw the turf and it looks awesome, i had a few friends (LSUBR fans) that were impressed. But if the stadium doesn't match up to the new turf I'll be a little disappointed. Anybody know anything?

Give them a little time. Be patient. Things don't just happen over night.

The things you mentioned are going to happen, but geez, just be a little patient.

I believe everything is geared towards Fan Day on Aug 10th (?) but we really have until Sept 20th, the date of our first home game.

I don't know. I like my lower level D3 chairbacks just fine.

The field looks beautiful. From what I've read pressure washing of the stadium will occur before first kickoff.

    I can't WAIT for football!!

I don't think he is being impatient, just asking if anyone had any updates.

But I have heard that both the "C" will be put back on the stadium but they are trying to decide if they are going to power wash the stadium first b/c it may wash off all the letters. I hope both of these things get done soon b/c they are desperately needed!

Yeah I'm not really being impatiant, just inquiring. I'm getting the itch for football and I didn't realize how far away our first game was. I can't wait to walk into the Swamp after it's cleaned up with the new turf and some paint, I'm ready for some football.
