There were scraps of turf and padding on the concrete that needed to be cleaned up. I think the scheduled completion date was July 5. They would have made it too if we would not have had so much rain the past few weeks. Even though they are not 100% complete they are having the 7 on 7 portion of the summer football camp at the stadium so they are still able to use it.
Having the turf ready for 7on7 drills is a huge win. Facilities are a huge deal in recruiting.

I'm not sure, but this could possibly be the longest thread in RaginPagin history.

Yea Z---the indoor and also the outdoor after a rain!!!!! Just think of other schools and the advantage we have with bad weather-----Hard rain --we go inside --shower ---we go outside or in but not on a sloppy field!!!!

So, now that the 7 on 7 drills are completed and this is July 10 and the job was supposed to be completed on July 6, is the turf job now completed? If not, what is the new projected completion date? Can someone post pictures of the finished product because the ones on RaginCajuns.com are up to about a week ago? When does work start on cleaning and painting the stadium and manicuring the grassy upper endzones so this will all have a finished look to it? Our first home game isn't until Sept. 20, so we have about 10 weeks to get this done right. There should be no excuses.

The turf is completed. I don't know if they had a finial walk through or not. Saw Scott Forman on the field today. He said that they were suppose to start the pressure washing this week. He said that it would be washed from top to bottom. The plans for the wall is to have two sponsors with their sign on it plus some logo's of UL, etc...The pictures form the stand's look great. On the field is another story. The 7 on 7 crew should have picked up their trash. Hope the maintainance crew do their job. They have a machine to run over the turf to clean off trash and lift the truf. Evidence of drain problems already......

I could have sworn that was the reason for getting the turf, drainage would not be a problem. At least they have almost three months to get it right before the first game in LATE September.

If that was the only inlet that had water and every other inlet was dry then the problem is at the inlet. Probably some debris or something at the inlet. Not a big deal, just remove the grate and clean it out. Been at stuff like this for 32 years trust me on this one.

See you next week I'm in UD2 22 & 23. We will be right at the 50 yard line. I will be sitting 4 rows up from my season ticket seat UD2 Row 1 seat 21. One of the absolute best seats in the house.
