Anyone know if they finished applying the silica sand to the turf? What is left to be done on the installation?

I saw about a dozen large bags of sand and the tractor used to spread it in the parking lot next to the athletic offices today. Don't know if that was extra or yet to be spread. With final inspection tomorrow (Sunday) and the start of the Football camp Sunday, I would expect that it would either be a punch list item or they will finish it on Sunday.
Just got back from the field. I think they have the sand all down except for brushing it in. They have four workers on the field placing flag marker on the field where they have to cut and reglue. They have not started cutting and securing the edge around the cement yet. The supervisor in charge has been gone since Wednesday evening and want be back until Sunday night. Some of the lines are not straight. They may correct that though. The South end goal post are on the field but not up yet. This damn rain need to go and the sun come out and dry the field. And no, it will not be complet Sunday........
This rain is lame
So is the field done? July 6th has come and gone...
Not yet. Checked it out last night around 8:30 and they were brushing the field to incorporate the sand. They were also cutting the edges around the cement. The southside goal post was on the field but not up. It looks like they have atleast 3 more days before completion. Then a walk through and finial inspection before excepting the product. I took a some pictures last night. I will post them.

I took a few. Could not get on the field so I had to use a 400mm lens. Had to stand on the top of my truck to take the pictures. They might be a little shakey or blurred. They sent half the crew (5) to Ohio on another job. So the pace is a little slower.

Joshua, nice article as usual. I know the picture was taken because the Ragin Cajuns wording faces the press box; however, it struck me that as good as the field looks, that picture facing the student side makes it look like a high school stadium. How does the field look taken from the other side looking back at the double-decked side of the stadium? That sure does give it more of a major college stadium look. To me, that is important from a perception standpoint. Just a thought about future pictures taken at Cajun Field.
