I wouldn't put it past the legislature to change the UL "law" if we request a name change to something not UL. The law as stated says you can have one university listed as UL unless there is a second school, and must contain the "at plus city designation" following the UL name. We'd change, and they'd tell ULM you can just use the UL name by yourself.
I wonder if the campus can secede from Louisiana and join Texas?
I think the 1984 Case should be deemed a MISS TRIAL as LSUAMC@BR Alumni JUDGE never recused himself from a case that should have NEVER gone to TRIAL, as the VERY SAME way LSUNO changed its name is the VERY way USL was VOTED 17-1 in FAVOR to change USL to UL under THE LAW at that time!!!
Our State is the ONLY state in the UNION without a University of!!!! How backwards are we going to remain LSU? Are you proud to be LEGISLATED the Flagship School? UL never wanted to be the Flagship University ONLY "The University of Louisiana", THE very name Tulane gave up YEARS ago!!!
The Governor of Louisiana has a chance to make this right, but it is going to take a UNIFIED RAGIN CAJUN NATION to put up the MONEY to HIRE a WELL VERSED, HIGH POWER ATTORNEY to have this case retried and the VERDICT OVERTURNED!!!
I will donate the first $1000!!!
I am willing to start having meetings to do ALL the research on the WHOLE history concerning USL or UL, the vote, the trial, and another Universities around the country that have fought these battles!!!
Who is in?
