What makes all of this sad is that football just won its 3rd straight bowl game, mens and womens basketball is off to their best starts in over a decade, and baseball and softball are ranked in the top 25. We should be on cloud nine with the current success of our athletic program.

With the University backtracking on all of this, are we going to see a change in all of our jerseys that have LOUISIANA across our chests? With what seems to be some major political backstabbing/bribing going on, you'd think this is second on the docket.

Question? If we were to go into another conference would we still be under the arm pits of lswho and Louisian house strong arms about a name change? Would they still have the control about naming rights. We may be in another conference but we are still in Louisiana......any thoughts about this?

If we are in CUSA, it is LA Tech. In AAC, it is Tulane. Go to any CSN board. They are always fighting our use of LOUISIANA and creating a name issue on every thread. All the other schools are sick of seeing any of us posting. This will be a nightmare in any conference unless we get in the Big 12. Well, let me correct that. It is no longer a nightmare for Tech and Tulane because we are now UL-L, thanks to our administration and that is now what every school will call us. It is what our President said to call us. We are f__'d.

It could happen because it's regional. It doesn't threaten LSU. It doesn't ____ off all the smaller schools. We could have a name we're all proud of and use it as freely as we want to.

Do ya'll realize that T-Joe works for the UL system and can be fired for not following system policy? Do ya'll also realize that LaTech, ULM and McNeese despise UL and think that ya'll are cheating the law with this "Louisiana" bs? and that UL does not control the votes on the UL system board or the Board of Regents?

Maybe the rest of the universities in the system pressured the conference and the board to rein in UL's use of "Louisiana"? ever think that maybe more people don't want ya'll to have that name than do?
