I read that Chris Williams thread the other day where T-Joe said he would comment when he had all the facts, but he never did. Even when it was proved that UL was the victim of a time thief he said nothing and made no changes. I see this current silence as more of the same.

To Zoom's point (and has been on this board before) what if T Joe got a call from BR and the premise was this:

"Stop it with the UL/Louisiana stuff, or the next time you have a bonding issue for your athletics master plan, it won't get past my secretary's desk?"

What is more important, the name issue or the improvements?

Agreed, zero evidence that what the administration said was accurate. They did zero to advance an opportunity to play a better foe in Shreveport, ZERO. As for NOLA Bowl? They are never going to crap on us again, they see the green and had a good second and third team available, but not one would bring close to what we brought in dollars. I suspect we had a reasonable amount of time to see if Shreveport was serious. We told them to go Pizz off. That is just stupid.

-------Yes Sir you are on the money---T-joe could well need his butt to be chewed out---but once again if you don't have the FACTS as to what caused the naming deal you can't even enter into the arena of opinions and that is what I have been trying to get through to some people on this board as I think you can tell!!!-----Can you imagine T-joe sitting in his office and he says that is it, I no longer want UL--Now he has been fighting for this university working for it and working overseeing it and all the schools in Louisiana---he has never left Lafayette and has his dream of being the pres of UL come through---Since here he has tried to get the UL thing going---But now he just says and enacts the non UL-----no pressure, no lawsuits, no threats of injunctions, no threats of dismissal, no boycotts by other universities----- just his acting alone on a sudden whim---We will see!!!

The marketing department at Martin Hall is obviously extremely disconnected with the SID over on Reinhardt. Or they're just plain stupid. They should have deferred the filling out of this form to McCann and crew.

The UL-L thread is now on page 4 with the last post on Jan. 15. We can't let this die out. T-Joe is yet to give a statement and we are almost a week and a half since the fiasco aired. Need to keep this alive until we get answers.

Brother it matters zero what goes on this board except to crystalize our disgust. Until a large group shows up demanding a better explanation, yes sixties style marches, gentle confrontations in public places he will simply ignore all of us as he has always done. Examples Horse Farm, Conference Alignment, Master Plan Delay, emphasizing Cajuns over Louisiana at the football stadium.

Nobody here thinks there is a good place to confront him, and many think it is messy, ugly, unseemly to do that. In short it ain't happening we are never getting a better explanation.

Maybe in his memoirs he will have a chapter on how he had to be the stealth president, the peasants simply did not understand all the evil enemies we had.
