2014 Branding Fiasco: UL-Lafayette or UL-L (SBC Reference Guide)

Hot of the presses in on the Advertiser's website. Sun Belt media guide says call us "UL-Lafayette" and "UL-L". Benson says don't blame him, this was approved by the Presidents.

Advertiser says T-Joe has not responded to requests for comment.

"Requests for comment from UL officials, including Savoie, were made Monday.

Two UL spokesmen said comment could be coming later."

Note not comment WOULD be coming later but COULD. Kind of like a new contract could be coming for Hud.

The only explanation that I would accept from Dr. Savoie and/or Farmer as a proud Alum and fan is that Benson is a liar. If the explanation is anything other than that, then they can all go to ______!

Note this is a procedure the Sun Belt will follow. We don't have to follow it nor does KPEL, the Advertiser, local TV stations etc. They know our preference. This will be more fuel for the fire for those who believe it is critical we get out of the Sun Belt.

This seems like Louisiana politics at its best. Our admin may not have much choice but to back down for a while. Politicians could cause us a lot of problems much worse than being called UL - Lafayette
