They've never been connected to us. They use Jay Walker to talk for them on the air and Icitsh on this forum. They obviously hate us on the inside.

That has always been the weakest argument...how many ASU, MSU, GSu, USC, UA, UT, and UW's are out there...but for some reason there can only be one UL...and they go by UofL just like Houston goes by UofH

I think there is something behind this. Savoie/Farmer promised to stay in the Sun Belt a few years back. They are so loyal that they didn't want to break this. Now that we have been thrown under the bus on the name issue, they see that the Sun Belt is not loyal to us, so why should we be loyal to them? Savoie/Farmer now pick up the phone and call CUSA and accept the bid that was made to us a while back without feeling bad about their loyal commitment that they made a while back to the Sun Belt? Wishful thinking?

Most probably it's a case of the Sun-Belt knowing we want out and as.a result them not wanting to go to bat for us.
