If were to be known as simply Louisiana, we would not perceived as a small tiny directional school.
Guarantee alot of people get us confused with ULM all the time. Hell ESPN confuses us fpr Lafayette Leopards

It was an Academic decision. From an academic standpoint it was easier to attract better teachers and students being called the University of Louisiana at Lafayatte then University of Soutwest Louisiana.

The University of South Louisiana and we go back to USL. USF and UCF are Tier 1 schools, so that holds no argument. Or, we go to Acadiana University. We need an IDENTITY and not UL-L.

ESPN already picked up on this and is showing UL-L on the screen and calling us ULL. This SUCKS.

We are done. Louisiana will never again be used by anyone other than us alums. I am so ____ed. Do we change every uniform, field, court? We need an explanation NOW. The ULM game was a precursor to this and we were being set up just didn't realize it.

Maybe we can get Adidas to do come cool stuff with the stripes and the hyphen. You know, get creative on those SWEET uni's we just bought off the clearance rack at the Adidas outlet store near the Tijuana border.
