It's not "official official"...but it's pretty damn close. Mason better not like sleep; he's got lots of work to do on the recruiting trail.

Derek Mason is indeed #Vandy's next head coach. Vandy donor and search committee member John Ingram: "Yes sir! ... I am very excited."
A bright spot in an otherwise crappy week. Be ready to have this same discussion next year.
We need Hud to move on, and NOT be the coaching graveyard, but not this year, and maybe even next. If it happening for Hud from here it almost has to be in the next two to three years.
We need to lose that moniker. ASU sent Benny Ellender up in the seventies to TooLame. To bad for him he did not realize he was taking a step down.
No, we don't need to lose a good coach, ever. There is no glory in saying your coach left for a bigger better job. If that's what makes someone feel better about our program, then something is wrong. If it happens, then it happens, and it's out of our control, but to wish for it, is crazy. It's not the measuring stick of where your program is at. If Coach Hud keeps this program on the upswing, and continues to improve it, then that's all that matters. The rest will take care of itself.
Keep HUD... Keep growing... No reason to want him to leave.
