While it's a nice round number, UL baseball coach Tony Robichaux wasn't very worried or impressed by claiming his 500th win in a Ragin' Cajun uniform with a 4-3 win over Northwestern State on a "Turn Back the Clock" Wednesday night at Tigue Moore Field.
It's numbers like 18 and 1 and 7 that Robichaux was hanging his hat on.
For starters, the win evened the Cajuns' record at 18-18 on the season, heading into this weekend's Sun Belt road series against South Alabama.
"That (500th win) is not really a big deal right now,'' said Robichaux, who is now 744-469 overall as a coach. "I'm more concerned with getting this team turned around right now.''
