Giving them 10 points from a fumble and shanked punt cost us the game. We turn it over, they didn't.

For years we've heard "oh.. If Brees had a defense and running game we'd be unbeatable.." Well, this defense played their butts off. No excuse for that performance on offense and special teams.

Good thing Drew didn't sign in Miami. Playing in conditions would have rendered him a slightly above average QB, and I'm not just going off of the last month of let downs..

We didn't play a perfect game and frankly Seattle is the better team. Congrats CajunHawk ! I hope they win it all.

and that's all folks. Your season is over. BTW, you better enjoy your little run this season because a QB with 100 yds. passing/game ain't gonna cut it Chief. Next year the Saints get off probation and they'll whack the whole fricking league. Also, I hope whoever's in the Superbowl enjoys playing in lots and lots of snow. I have a pretty good source who says it's gonna be a record blizzard in New York on Superbowl Sunday. Am I bitter? You're GD right. When the commissioner gives your team the death penalty because he doesn't want his party spoiled, it
p!$$3s me off just a little.

I am actually encouraged by the Saints future. They have run the ball better since Armstead and Robinson have been playing more and those are two rookies. Being able to run more effectively will allow them to compete better on the road. They can still move the ball in the air on the road at times as they did so today when the weather improved. Of course they still play half their games at home which some people forget when pointing out the road issues. Not having Vacarro hurt them today as he could have helped control Lynch. They do need to have a consistent place kicker. Seattle's guy has had a great year considering the weather they often play in. He was a huge difference today. He will need to do the same if they want to advance. If I were them, I would fear the Niners as they have a defense to match theirs.

The 49ers are not a source of fear. They lose in Seattle like everyone else.

We played a damn good team. Our defense was awesome. Brees struggled... but that aggressive super athletic Seahawk defense had something to do with it. Anyone getting down on the Saints is kind of silly. I can't get over listening to former NFL football players and how dumb they often approach analyzing these post season games. We're seeing the best taking the other best's best stuff. They act as if x didn't perform up to his standards... without any consideration of the opponent play. Most contests come down to match ups... and in this case "conditions" also played a factor. We are dependent on our passing game and Brees couldn't throw a wet ball in the first half. And a super secondary took away his mojo.

Outside of being bummed about the loss, I was extremely impressed with the Saints defense under Ryan. You can't say we didn't contain Wilson... perhaps as well as any defense can. And again, I'm extremely impressed with the Seahawks defensive secondary and of course, Lynch. That is a very solid team. If you play that game in the Dome, however, the outcome flips IMO.
