Kicking game.....shanked punt set up Seattle for 3 points
fumble inside the 30 yd line set up Seattle with a short field...7 points
    2 missed field goals.....-6 points

I said that the Saints needed their best game of the year.....and we did not get that....congrats to Seattle on the victory

It's nice to say that, but Shane Graham doesn't miss those FG's under more NORMAL conditions!!
Besides, Brett never kicked for us in a driving rain storm with 40mph winds!!!

If Brett Baer's agent doesn't at least get him a tryout with the Saints this offseason, he's not doing his job. I know Brett isn't a good practice kicker, and in all honesty that will probably be what keeps him from getting a job if that's the case. But he's got accuracy and range when it counts, and there is no kicking situation more open right now than the one in New Orleans.

---Brock I think without knowing the details that it is leg strength that is hurting his career -----You can't carry 2 kickers and if you can't do the Touch backs, you can't kick in the NFL!!!

Boomer, New Orleans is a possibility because the punter, Morstead, kicks off

We've got Morestead kicking off, has been for a couple years. Our kickers are asked to kick field goals, that's it. In a pinch, Baer can get it to the goal line at least.

It was barely raining...and there was almost no wind during that last kick.

---Not following the Saints --I stand corrected---the onside kick worked but notice the TO call like Monroe did??? that is when you approach the ball and reverse kick it as you have them outnumbered to that side---Their TO tells you what they are going to do thinking they know what you are going to do!!! That make sense???

Yeah. It also wasn't really raining or wind blowing incredibly hard for his first kick. Laces weren't out, though, so I can buy that excuse for that one. That's the reason I alluded to him being available when we signed him, and the reason that he's played for a whopping 15 NFL teams, including the Saints and Seahawks twice. There are going to be better options moving forward.

Yep. It's fairly common these days to call a timeout when you know an onside kick is coming for that very reason.
