UL's Josh Logan put an end to his personal misery, snapping an 0-for-8 slump with a lead-off triple to open Sunday's Sun Belt game against first-place UL Monroe. The senior center fielder finished 2-for-5 at the plate.
"I think I put some good swings on a couple balls (Sunday)," said Logan, whose Cajuns play a non-conference game at 6:30 tonight against Northwestern State (17-16) in Natchitoches. "I just wasn't seeing the ball well in the first two games."
While Logan turned it around in the series finale, the Cajuns (17-17) were not as fortunate on Alumni Weekend. After splitting the first two games, UL saw its bullpen rocked for 10 runs in the last two innings of Sunday's 14-4 loss.
