UL third baseman Tyler Benzel missed Sunday's game and is out indefinitely after fracturing his left wrist on Saturday. The freshman suffered the injury when he was hit with a pitch from ULM pitcher Drew Graham in the second inning. He went to the bench after the at-bat and did not return to the game.
With Benzel out, the Cajuns moved junior Matt Hicks from second base to third. Sophomore Jordan Poirrier took Hicks' spot at second.
"He's going to be out next weekend and will be day-to-day after that," UL coach Tony Robichaux said of Benzel.
