Yall are debating what happened in 1992. Kind of dumb dont you think...
Also, the Sun Belt of the last decade is stronger than the Sun Belt of the early to mid 90's. The Sun Belt of recent years has had numerous years where three and four teams qualified for postseason play (yes, the 64-team tournament came into play in '99). More importantly, teams that are in the present Sun Belt have won several regional championships with one CWS qualifier. They have also had better overall performance in the NCAA Tournament.
But someone earlier said what I feel is very important. Tony Robichaux has won the right way. That is very important to me as both a fan and donor.

1989 season. I thought it was 49 wins. They went two and cue in the ASC Tournament at Privateer Park. I remember a few decent wins that year (LSU and Arkansas, both CWS qualifiers). But I also remember a hoard of non Div. I wins (Huston Tillotson, Southern Arkansas, etc.) that padded the record and the stats. The selection committee did not like this many non Div. I games on the schedule. Nicholls State snagged the last at-large bid that year.
