Thread: Is Dillon Guillory hurt........

Okay, enough of this complaining about Robe underachieving. Who is the first to call for his being fired for not living up to standards that satisfy them?

    WHO???

Look... I don't want to join the argument as to whether Coach Robe has done this or that... or if he has or hasn't accomplished enough during his time.

My only comment would be that a year like this one will possibly set up back quite a bit (although, like all of you, I hope I'm wrong about that). We did not sign the last couple of years the level of talent that we THOUGHT we had signed, which now means we need to bring in additional talent to "get it done". That means they have to come in and take time to learn the system and so forth.

Bottom line... we could be in for a less than favorable year next year... and even the one following THAT!

Lighten up CC - I don't recall reading the F word except in your post. I don't think anyone wants Robe gone. But, hey this isn't football - we are used to and expect a winner.

His record is his record - in black and white. Each fan has a right to judge it for what it is.

By the way this entire post started because cajunproud was an all-district tuba player.

Ohhh so now I am starting to understnad, Robe is the one underperforming because he is the one who goes to the plate and strikes out 14 times, hes the one who has trouble fielding groundballs, he is the one who gives up 10+ runs every game this weekend... NOW I understand... you are an idiot, who really doesnt know anything... You really are the biggest moron I have ever seen on this board, and you have some serious competition...

I'll toast a beer to that. Cajun4Life has no clue about baseball and the shape of this program under Tony's watch. We all want more wins, hell we all want no losses.

Let's see here. I was an all-state, all-district, all-acadiana baseball player who chose to play two other sports in college which I was also all-state in and all-american in another. But you are right I do not know the game of baseball. I do know the state of the program here at UL, it is a solid mid-major. You HOMERS can settle for that if you want but I will continue to expect more from UL Baseball.

WooHoo! I'm sure there are plenty of All-state/district/acadiana athletes posting on this site. I was all of the above in 1997. But I don't have the need to post it in every other post. Come back from your Fantasy land.

Dude, get off the high horse... What do you want us to do? kiss your ass because you are a self proclaimed All American? But like you said, you chose to play other sports besides baseball... and I could be wrong, please correct me if I am wrong, but this thread is about BASEBALL right? If you were that wonderful in baseball as you claim to have been you would have played baseball in college, but you didnt, so in other words your claim to be awesome in the sports you did play in college (which you failed to mention) are irrelevant.. I dont care if you are Joe Torre, your knowledge of the game and the program are shown through the posts that you post, and they are all just stupid, you really dont know anything... I will give you benefit of the doubt and lets say you were everything you say you were, I know alot of great baseball players who really dont know the game that well. There is a HUGE difference in coaching baseball and playing baseball, but I am sure you already knew that. Why dont you email, or call Robe and tell him what you think, because the way you talk, you have all the answers, I am sure he would love to hear what you have to say because you obviously are smarter than him... Hey go talk to David Walker, maybe you can get Robe fired on the spot and YOU can take over the program... You are just ignorant, and the fact that you say that the team underperforming is Robes fault has got to be the most RIDICULOUS thing I have ever heard, I still cant get over this. Do you know how many hall of fame managers and coaches would be fired right now or never would have been heard of if anybody thought that your thinking was correct? I hate to just keep on going on about your ignorance but you really do just amaze me... How can you be that bad? (Wow, never thought I would have the guts to talk to an All American that way, haha)

I want to make this very clear... I was not all-world, all-american, all-state, all-district, or all-acadiana in baseball... I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Did I ever mention Tony getting fired? No I did not, but I do not give him a free pass on a pitiful season. Could I do any better as a coach probably not but guess what, at least I am willing to criticize when it is warranted. Why don't you get your nostrils out of Tony's ass and take a look at our record and who we are losing to and how we are losing. Tony recruited these guys and they are not performing to the level you expect are they? I did not think so. So who should get the blame? Why don't you tell me then since you are such an armchair expert.
