Reports have Franklin taking the Penn State job and most of the early candidate lists for the Vandy job have HUD mentioned.

Don't see it happening.
I will give you two. He will have the best team in Cajuns history to coach and two, he wants that outright championship. That's what I would want.
The Vandy thing kinda scares me because of HUD's singing----I guess ya'll remember the take off of the KING at an RCAF party!!! Worried if they let him loose in Nashville!!! He could have a coaching and recording contract in the same day!!!

Some names I'd expect to get consideration at #Vandy: DC Bob Shoop, #Stanford DC Derek Mason & #ULL's Marsk Hudspeth.
I don't see Vandy as a fit for Hud. First, there are limitations with the academic standards at that school, which have made it a graveyard for coaches. If you are successful you'd better move on. Second, if I were an SEC school, I'd pencil him as someone to watch, but he would have to accomplish more before I'd be ready to hire him.

At Vandy, sources tell us D Williams top 3 candidates are (no order) Bob Shoop, Herb Hand & Derek Mason (Stanford) http://t.co/sNnVtycOD5
Vandy seems like a perfect fit for Hud (not sure if fit for Vandy). There is not nearly as much pressure to succeed versus other SEC jobs, his fiery personality seems more of a "fit" for mid major/lower end bcs, familiar recruiting grounds, increase pay, etc.
This job (along with Louisville previously) causes me more concern than any other opening.
