Hope Hud is still with us next year. But if he does choose to leave I just hope our admin can move quickly and find another Hud.

Is contingency plan even in our vocabulary? We'll be shocked, caught totally off guard, have to form a committee, and won't have a coach by signing day if HUD bolts. We knew coaching openings were coming up and just now started to address a contract extension with a serious buyout clause. Have to believe/hope the Stanford assistant is the more attractive candidate coming from a distinguished private school so he knows what he is getting at Vandy and Vandy alum get the high profile coach for the SEC. Won't want to make the same mistake Tennessee did. So, we keep HUD at least for one more year. Let's hope that scenario plays out.

Yea, but if Hud gets a chance to sell himself that guy from Stanford doesn't stand an iceberg's chance in hell.

American Football Coaches Association Convention Indianapolis Indiana January 12 -15

Exactly. Not doing anything he doesn't normally do at this time of year. And with the success he's had, I'm sure numerous administrators and ADs from various schools have gauged his interest the last few years. No reason to hit the panic button or jump to conclusions based on this. But that doesn't mean that Farmer and crew shouldn't at least be clandestinely working on a contingency plan just in case.

Just landed in Atlanta, Coach and Tyla on the flight from LFT. Didn't get a chance to ask where they were headed, but he was in a suit and she was dressed up. Hope it's not Nashville.

They are flying to Indianapolis for the Coaches Covention from 12th-15th.

----I guess things have changed but not many brought wives to National Coaches conventions----A lot of Xing and Oing, a lot of trying to get jobs, a lot of beer consumed, many ladies of the night around to talk about motion offense and various positions that can be used!!!! lol------I wasn't there but when the Bear was running the W-bone a fellow came up with a defense to stop it --so happened that the Bear walked in and a bunch asked him what he thought about the plan---he just said it looked ok and later returned when nobody was around and told the young coach with the plan---"son you got 12 men drawn up on your defense"----Bear was one of a kind---well so is our B-bear!!!! lol

I'm sure these coaches conventions are a blast! We should get about 8 of us, make up a school, get matching shirts and visors printed up, and crash the conference. Most people wouldn't even know that the Grand Isle Tech Dirty Sox don't exist!
