_ Well the Cajuns win it!!!!! Where is everybody--Had to try that 1420 static but think we only used 2 pitchers--Tony said that they are good and that our starter did not have his usual and Jay said Glass did well for the mid innings---You have to do great things on the weekeknd and the HRs were by the unexpected--Well Long's wasn't----I think I could play for Tony _

We used 3 pitchers. Moody, Solich, Glass ... Solich only pitched 2/3 of an inning (I think)

Just getting in and here is my recap:

The good:
gaining some swagger
the crowd was great
the team is hitting with confidence
Goulas, Hawkins, and Benzel seem to be seeing the ball well
Benzel is in a zone
defense had only 1 error
Buddy is establishing a role
Farquhar pitches tommorow
winning without our best closer (J Robe)
spoke with an assistant ULM coach and he is hoping to take 1 after tonight
same coach said we are out recruiting them

The bad:
Logan and the catcher position needs to hit better
we may have won because of ULM's 6 errors
Moody did not pitch well. Had nothing on his pitches
Solich is now a situational pitcher. Did not look good
without J Robe our bullpen is questionable
we still need to win the conference tournament

i agree moody did not have his best stuff tonight but when a umpire is that stingy with a strike zone it tends to change the way a pitcher pitches. which for example would be a reason there was almost 30 hits in a game b/c the pitchers had to hang meat over the plate to get a strike call

Well, if we can keep this train rolling and win the regular season championship with anywhere near a #50 RPI, we will make the tourney no matter what.

2 weeks ago I would have said that was impossible, but, especially if we sweep this weekend, it is still possible.


Tremendous effort by the Cajuns last night. Very gutsy.
