Thread: Saints REALVILLE

  1. Default Saints REALVILLE

Well say what you want ---when the football gods had decided what was gonna happen with the Saints moving the ball and eating up the clock and a great kicker------Hell let them score--get the ball back with say 2:15 to go and score a td and you win it--this way you get your @$$ handed to you!!! Can't knock the Saints for a great win however!!!!

I know you have been around football a long time. Have you been in situations where the coach decided to let them score?

Sean Payton swallowed his pride and called run plays, and Brees did not check out of them for once. And that win was with 2 turnovers...

  5. UL Football Re: REALVILLE

The stat on winning while losing the turnover margin was something like 16/195. Good thing games are won on the field instead of the stat sheet, right TOOLAME?

Cajuns lost the turnover margin, and the Saints did too. Both won. To simply parrot the turnover margin winning games without looking at the causes is foolish. Most teams losing turnover margins are in fact the inferior teams. They usually lose anyways. The Cajuns and the Saints were both superior to their opponents.

Better shore up the D-backs, and soon.......Brees is not running up the score to protect the Defense like in the past. Offensive line will need to give Brees a better look down field.....do this and we beat the Seahawks next Saturday.

A lot of the BAD interceptions are totally on Brees, not his line. Perhaps he is mentally damaged by all the bad offensive line play he has had this season. Brees pretty much owned the interceptions in post game interviews. Both were on him especially the one leading to the touchdown.

I think the second one was on Moore.

He saw Demeco Ryan and ran a bad route.

From the moment he broke off the line, his route was tentative. I think he anticipated getting lit up and ran behind Ryan instead of in front.

First one absolutely on Brees. Fine line between confidence and arrogance and Payton/Brees get way greedy.

Well Brees said both were bad decisions by him, especially the second one. I will go with what Brees said instead of what you think.

I know Brees never throws his players under the bus, but in those cases he is not so vocal about his responsibility.

And that speaks on Brees' integrity.

But go back and look at it. Tell me that you think that Lance Moore ran a good route.

I saw that. Moore should have gotten in front of that Eagle's linebacker. Brees will never blame anyone else. He will say things like 'We didn't execute' when there are bad routes, or dropped balls.

But hey Moore made up for it with a TD.

Also Jimmy Graham should have slowed down to catch that ball in double coverage in the End Zone.

Yeah, it's really tough to criticize Elmo.

99 times out of a 100 dude runs a great route and catches the ball. He's so precise I think he catches balls that should really be thrown to players much larger than he is.

I think that's been the problem with the offense last couple games. Not enough of him.
