After falling short in his last outing, UL's Hunter Moody is ready for another shot at history. But the senior pitcher said he is thinking about more
than just getting his 27th career win and becoming the all-time wins leader in program history.

"My job is to come out and try to give us a chance to win," Moody said as the Cajuns open a three-game Sun Belt series against Middle Tennessee

State at 6 tonight in Murfreesboro, Tenn. "If it happens, it happens. It's not in the forefront of my mind."

Moody, tied for first in career wins by a Cajun with Andy Gros and Scott Dohmann, said he's more concerned about UL (12-14, 5-7 SBC) beating MTSU (12-12-1, 5-6).

The Cajuns entered the season ranked by multiple publications and picked to repeat as Sun Belt regular-season champions, but lost 12 of their first 18 games. Included in that stretch were three losses at home to Arkansas State and two losses at Florida Atlantic.
