• Senior Hunter Moody will take a second crack at his pursuit of the school career wins record Friday when he leads Louisiana into the first of a three-game series at the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders.

• Moody ranks in the career top five of four major categories - games started, innings pitched, victories and strikeouts.

• This weekend also marks the return of senior Nolan Gisclair and junior Scott Hawkins in the lineup - both had missed the last several games with an injury.

• This season marks the Cajuns’ third-straight trip to Murfreesboro in the series. Last season, the Blue Raiders won the series 2-1. In 2006, the Cajuns took two out of three.

• Louisiana has only swept Middle Tennessee twice in the all-time series - in Murfreesboro (2002) and Lafayette (1978). Since the last series sweep, the Cajuns are 10-13 against the Blue Raiders.

• Reliever Justin Robichaux (7) needs one save to tie the single-season school record set by Aaron Welbourne (8) in 2000.

ANOTHER GAME BITES THE DUST. Wednesday’s regularly scheduled out-of-conference game at Southeastern Louisiana was postponed until April 23 because of poor playing conditions...

Last month, the Ragin’ Cajuns’ home game against Northwestern State (Turn Back the Clock Night) was moved to April 16 because of inclement weather.

AUTEAUX ROBICHAUX. Sophomore closer Justin Robichaux now has seven saves in 13 appearances this season...

Robichaux is on pace to shatter the school’s single-season save record of eight which was set by Aaron Welboune in 2000...

Robichaux is the 10th Cajun reliever to notch at least six saves in a single season.

Moody (4-2) was victimized for four runs on a career-high-tying 11 hits with three strikeouts in seven innings of work. Moody made his 44th career start on the mound, moving into fourth place on the school’s all-time list. He also moved into fifth place on the career list with 296 1/3 innings pitched.

FARQUHAR BACK TO FORM. Preseason SBC Pitcher of the Year Danny Farquhar returned to form Saturday...

Farquhar struck out a game-high eight batters, while Louisiana provide early run support as the Ragin’ Cajuns disposed of the FIU Golden Panthers 5-2 Saturday afternoon. The Cajuns win evened the series at one game apiece...

Farquhar (3-3) notched his second straight victory on the mound, allowing two runs on eight hits in eight innings of work.

THIRD TIME AROUND. Prior to last weekend’s series at UALR, Louisiana had failed to win when trailing in a game...After back-to-back heroic outings at UALR to capture the series sweep, the Cajuns used another rally for a 7-6 extra-inning victory at Northwestern State...

Trailing 3-1 in the fourth, the Cajuns took a 4-3 lead and added two more runs for a three-run edge in the fifth.
