BOCA RATON, Fla.-Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns men’s tennis team easily defeated Belmont University 6-0 on Sunday. The win moved the Cajuns to 6-8 on the season, while Belmont fell to 0-12.
The Cajuns swept the Bruins in singles action, and no doubles matches were played.
In singles, freshman Piotr Olechowski bested Ignacio Gesto 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1, while junior Arlen Domoney defeated Felipe Cirne Lima 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2.
Sophomore Jorge Delgado topped Zach Zola 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3, and freshman Murilo Martins bested Brady Manifold 6-1, 6-2.
Freshman Stefan Hawkins and sophomore Janusz Conradi both won by default at Nos. 5 and 6 respectively.
The Cajuns will be back in action on Saturday, April 5 when they compete in the Sun Belt Shootout, which will be held in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
