Florida International spoiled what was to be a memorable night for UL starter Hunter Moody.

Moody's quest to become the program's all-time wins leader will have to wait after a 9-1 loss to the Golden Panthers on Friday in Sun Belt Conference action at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Pitching in front of nearly a dozen pro scouts, Moody (4-2) took the loss after giving up four runs - three earned - on 11 hits in seven innings. The senior remains tied for first in UL history with Andy Gros and Scott Dohmann with 26 career wins as the Cajuns (10-13, 4-6) saw their four-game winning streak snapped.

Moody got little help offensively as FIU (10-17, 4-3) ended a five-game losing streak. UL, which scored 27 runs on 35 hits in its previous three games, managed one run on six hits to lose its fourth straight at home this season.
