Brandon Stokley, the man who Peyton Manning calls "the best teammate I've ever had" and whose career accomplishments tower over his frame, is retiring after 15 seasons.

I know he never had the transcendent 5 or 6 seasons that would put him in the hall of fame, but how do his career stats compare to hall of fame receivers? I feel like Boomer asking people to tell me stats!
He was never the biggest. tallest, strongest, or fastest....all Brandon ever did was CATCH THE BALL when his quarterback NEEDED a reception!! His playing aside, I'll always be grateful for how he represented USL and then UL in the NFL with TOTAL class!! Godspeed Brandon!!!

As an old receiver coach I agree he had great hands but could get open.....getting open is the deal cause without that there is no need for the hands.....against man or zone he created the separation....
Great career Stokely!
One of my all time favorite Ragin Cajuns!
And he has a ring to retire with.
I remember playing catcher in CSA baseball and Stokely being the umpire. Good times.
Have fond memories of him catching a pass, especially those where he is laid out, stretched and catches it. He was a master at catching a pass. Mr. Clutch. The Cajun fans have been blest with some of the finest Receivers over the years. I only hope Brandon one day decides to go into Coaching and he is wearing Vermilion and Red that says "Ragin Cajuns" on his outfit.
Best of luck on your retirement snd thank you for playing for the Ragin Cajuns
GEAUX CAJUNS.
Guy was a helluva Seahawk while he was there.
The "getting open" part is what I remember...and what he was one of the BEST at. We've had many quality receivers since Brandon's days here that had speed, good hands...but couldn't consistently shake their defender to get open. Brandon excelled in doing it at both the college AND the NFL level. Oh...and if the ball was thrown within 5 feet of him he would find a way to wrap his hands around it. What a player.
...4th down TD to win against Tulane
...his "salute" to the A&M sidline
