I've known T-Joe for about 30 years and Scott since he's been here. I'm not afraid to ask them, in a civil manner, things I would like to know, much of which is brought up on this board. I don't mind sharing that information when I am able, but, as you can understand, some things I am required to leave private.
You, as I understand it, are a business owner. Do you send out a press release for every phone call you make and every email you receive? The intimate details of every facet of the master plan funding, the construction contracts, the conference movement negotiations and everything else on which the administration is working are known to the "deep pocket" people, and they are informed in a timely (by my estimation) manner. I'm sorry that many people here do not like the way T-Joe and Scott handle their business. I'm sure that's why many people have a trust issue with T-Joe and Scott, they don't know everything they know and that makes them believe they are not doing their jobs well.
I understand that there is a credibility issue where I am concerned. It doesn't bother me that people don't want to believe what I say. I know what I've been told and I know what I believe. Just because I'm all "sunshine and roses" on this board, doesn't mean I don't tell them when I disagree with them. I would hope that sometime in the near future, many Ragin' Pagin members would take the time to establish a relationship with T-Joe and Scott. I believe many will come to discover that they are men of integrity and character and they are handling the difficulties of this current Division 1 athletic environment as well as humanly possible, with very, very few exceptions.
ictish, nothing personal against you whatsoever, but years of "authemntisms, blancoisms" have several of us keeping close eye on Martin Hall. Lets don't forget that T-joe is from the days of Good ole boy Ray. Now T-joe is doing a whole hell alot of better job than OLD ray and we give him the proper credit due. However, Scott Farmer instills no confidence in me whatsoever in his ability to lead and in his future "visions" .Whatever those visions may be.
I think skepticism is understandable, as well as concern that what we're experiencing a hiatus period in football rather than the start of something big. Look how a once top ten basketball program has declined. My anxiety is that we won't be in a better conference or the facilities won't be substantially upgraded by the time we have to regroup under a new football coach. I want this football momentum to lead us to a higher vantage point from which to build.

Well that would follow under same logic as classes. I mean the atheist, jew, muslim, hindu, buddhist all might not want anything to do with Jesus, or for some the personal unique, living creator of the universe GOD.
The difference of course is that you are required to attend school, and you are not required to attend your graduation if you find it too offensive.
