If my memory is correct, that was the final game against tulane until last year and this year, so it's 3-0 since the 90s. There was a great game in the dome between these two teams in the late 80s where tulane won with a score around 42-40 and there was a decent crowd there. Brian Mitchell was there and I think it was the NCAA all time record for most rushing yards in a losing effort. That was a great game and both programs would greatly benefit if there were more games like that in a renewed rivalry. Seems like back then tulane wanted out of the series because suddenly the cajuns were competitive against them and that was not supposed to happen in their minds.
UL had a real bad loss to the Lamers after Jake left, cannot recall if it was there or at Cajun Field.

But that 21-6 nonsense is an absurdity. The vast majority of those wins were when they had a pretty good program and in the SEC. Brian Mitchell has a victory against the Lamers after two gutty tries, Jake a couple, or three, our gifted but short lived Ville Platte Freeman got a huge win after Brian Mitchell left. Stokely pulled the foot off the gas, only leaving them with a smidgen of pride in that game. Prior to Mitchell we had zero wins.

Mitchell with one, Freeman with one, Jake with two, and now Broadway with two. I know the Lamers have one win since Freeman, and maybe another I cannot recall. So if Mitchell win is the START, then we are six and one, or six and two against those TooLame Ripples.

Wow, you got all that from one sentence?

No, I just think it's ironic to accuse someone of not using their brain when you can't take the time to make sure your words aren't misspelled. Drives me crazy to see grown people, presumably college educated, being lazy with their English. This is even more frustrating in the age of auto-correct. It takes just a few seconds to proofread your own stuff, and the credibility you save is your own.

You feel batter now? I just find it an incredible waist of tyme to sit around and waist the thawght prosess on crticking spelling errors when the point of a thread is opine with a reasonable amount of common cents on the subjict at hand. Not to judge won mispelled word or grematickal era and presume that the person is poorly educated therefore has no right to an opinion. Won could only do that if won was a friend or part of the illitist self appointed thought nazis better known as the media. Wouldn't that be correct AIR BILL?

Quite the contrary. I thought the point of this thread (and this forum, BTW) was preserving the right to express your own opinion, in spite of what the self-appointed board police believe. Nowhere did I say that he, you or anyone else don't have a right to speak their mind. Criticizing what someone has said is not the same as attacking their right or limiting their ability to say it. In fact, I'm one of the most strident supporters of free speech that you'll find anywhere. I'm sure that Jay is too, as well as the other "thought nazis" that have been targeted here.

But your right to free speech does not trump another's right to criticize your free speech. You don't like it? Then don't comment. And I didn't accuse Hawk of being poorly educated, either. I just found his post ironic.

Agreed CajunEXPRESS. I will take the win (even if a little sloppy) anytime. Cajuns did what they had to do. SO glad we beat Tulane. Out of anyone, I hate to lose to them. They are more arrogant than Alabama fans. We opened with them in the old sugar bowl in 74. Septien kicked 3 fgs of 50 or more and we led 16-10 late in the 4th. We got a bs pass interference call and put them in a position to score easily. Lost 17-16 and I have never gotten over it. Remember that Boomer, Bankruptcyman?
