He might. I only say that because I don't follow the team as closely as others on here, especially when it comes to high school recruits. Everything I've read about him is he's the athletic type.
I'm certainly not a defensive coordinator, though, nor do I care to even pretend to play one on a message board. I'm just giving my opinion based on the type of hard-nosed, grinding player Anderson has been and comparing that to the types of LBs in the NFL I've seen be most successful for the Tampa 2 scheme, which appears to be what we're trying to run here.
It seems like we've been playing some form of it, which can explain for the safeties being deep and close to the sidelines when the opposition continues to throw slants and crosses, successfully, over the middle. But...every coach has their wrinkles within a system/philosophy. Just like other coaches have employed the West Coast with MUCH LESS success than Bill Walsh and Mike Holmgren, the same for defensive philosophies. Hell, look at how Montie Kiffen's system (the inventor of the "Tampa 2") has faired in Dallas.
All schemes require the right players for the scheme. Remember the Flex for the Dallas Cowboys in the early and middle Landry years. Bob Lilly gets old, and the Flex was no more.
In the pros you choose your players to suit your scheme, in college you try to recruit the right guys, but often a good coach has to change what he does best to what the players do best.
What my comment has to do with pay? I have no idea.
Did brockmeaux mention that Harry peoples played this season and no one caught that?
fellas, Terrance is a warrior... But lets not act like he improved form the end of last year. Truth is , he has not. He locked in on one receiver all season while others were wide open. I just hope he takes off from where he left off in 2012, not 2013.
My point was.....too predictable play calling no matter what the circumstances.
Just realized, I'm watching other bowl games, needing my Cajun football fix & nothing for many months.....;(
agreed fais do-do.... perhaps the play calling was dictated by personnel issues?? yes, end of season sucks.. but pur 23 rd ranked baseballers are on deck!!!
My only concern about the offense was the propensity of throwing a pick just before half time. How many times that happened this year? Sadly, it happened enough where I called the one in the NOLA bowl.
May be smart, but come on, if teams a blitzing you, UL has to let their TE's bump and release the DE/LB and toss it over the top to him! Or use your dang slot receiver on a 5 yard slant route over the middle, etc. Do not understand WHY UL stopped using the TE's, I understand our Slot was no where nere like last year, but our TE's were more than capable!!!
