ps. now no getting mad @ me .. when someone figures out how this will (strong chance) and can be done... mike (quite possibly) will start games vs both northwestern and rice
If Cook throws like he has been throwing lately and pitches into the 7th against NW St, I cannot see him throwing against Rice.

However, if they plan on starting him both nights, they better not let him pitch past the 4th on Tuesday.

I understand you have "connections" Bill , but I cannot see this. He is too good to risk an injury. If so, I have lost all confidence in the coaching staff...

Why is Broussard starting ahead of Bulliard? 8.59 era compare to 0.00 era.

Severe weather is expected in Lafayete Tuesday afternoon and evening. Will be very surpprised if the Tuedsay game is played.

    Default i asked your question

Was Coach Szefc on your show today?
    yes he was..

not that he has to.. (grins) although, i was waiting to check with our glorious web-boss of the rage page to see if he happened to record the segment..

-- they have and do change around what they do during the week on the hitting.. situational type situations i think he said.. IE: have 2 strikes, etc etc
-- john didn't think the players were turning on each others (pointing fingers) ..
-- when asked for a definition of sorts to tony's description of his team being "soft".. he didn't necessarily agree with what my guess of what i thought it meant.. "choke"
-- he felt they recruit guys that they think will come thru when the pressure is on them.
-- didn't necessarily buy into using youth as an excuse.. although even i know that D-1 pitching is way different than anything most of these guys have ever seen in high school..
-- couldn't say much of anything about tyler from acadiana.. but to imply..he is a stud..

any help out there with what i may have missed?

Glass has been in the pin for i think 2 weeks now

Robe said they are going to start bringing Cook on the weekend road trips. I thought he was already traveling with the team but I guess they are going to start using him more in the conference games instead of week day games, although he did confirm Cook will be pitching against Rice on Wed. So you get to see what the "boy wonder" can do against a really good Rice club.

    Default well well

no the news on tonight's game wasn't the way i at first was typing.. as to cook to get a start vs both teams.. although it certainly increases the odds.. and somewhat of a hint to my original thinking.. which i gave a hint in an earlier post (grins)

Bill, your posts are the some of the hardest to read, next to oldman. It almost seems like the stuff that you type are thoughts.

what's that saying.. "if it was easy, everybody would do it".. (smiles)

i'll try to be slower in my thoughts on paper.. as i am on my espn1420 writings , at least so far.. grins.. hopefully i was clear when i put the status of tonight's game on there..

to recap this thread.. i "playfully" said that cook had a good chance to get starts vs rice and northwestern, guessing that when tony originally pondered who to start vs northwestern 4 tonight and rice on wednesday.. he knew that next week the demons and cajuns will play again, so i "predicted" while guessing tony didn't want mike to go back to back vs demons, therefore in a sneaky way that is why i posted what i did yesterday..

ps. my guess is the above may not be all that clear either.. (smiles)

pss. though my grins and smiles and laughter has to be clear when typed (hee-hee)

HA! It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks!

That was DEFINITELY a sneaky way to put it about Cook.

We need to try Cook on weekends. The RPI season is almost lost already. The only shot we have is making the Sunbelt Tournement and trying to win it. We definately need to throw our best on weekends.
