The Safety Program

LAFAYETTE — The University of Louisiana Environmental Training Center will offer an eight-hour course titled “Confined Space Entry Shipyard Competent Person” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 19.

The course will assist new and experienced personnel with entering an area determined to be a confined space in accordance with OSHA Regulation 29CFR 1910.146.

The Environmental Program

LAFAYETTE — The University of Louisiana's Environmental Training Center will offer an “Environmental Compliance Management Certificate Program” from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. weekday evenings March 18-June 24 on the university campus.

The 45-hour program will offer 15 hours each in hazardous waste operations and emergency response; environmental law; and environmental science.
