On the other hand, if he leaves for what get perceives as a bigger opportunity and Hud replaces him with another quality coach it helps build your programs reputation as a place to coach and reverses the perception we had of being a coaching graveyard.

Anderson is more then likely the choice. A few State insiders know, but aren't saying anything until the private jet leaves the airport. Should be interesting to hear the announcement.

Our sources say Arkansas State has a new head football coach: Blake Anderson . He has Sun Belt Conference coaching experience with time at UL and MT. He knows the league. We expect a press conference .

"Anderson found great success with the Tar Heels in 2012, setting numerous school records while helping lead UNC to an 8-4 record. They averaged 40.6 points per game and ranked 14th nationally in yards per game. North Carolina took a step back this past season after losing a handful of players to the NFL and graduation, posting a 6-6 record and ranking just 48th in scoring.

Southern Miss should have hired Anderson a few years ago as head coachthey probably wouldn't be where they are now. Great hire for ASU in my opinion.

On a side note, remember not that long ago when Sunbelt was a "coaching graveyard." Boy how things have changed
