Lafayette High Mighty Lions, my alma mater, won the 5A state championship tonight, 75-55!

I don't know what the attendance was tonight but LHS probably saved the Top-28 this year.

Well the pictures I saw on the advertiser's website showed that the first and second levels were pretty much full with some people sittin third level too. I'd estimate that there had to have been at least 5-6000 people in attendance for the game, maybe more. I'm willing to bet that's a record attendance for one game, or pretty much close to it. My only regret is not being able to be there. Hopefully that will create some good enough memories for those guys (playin and winnin in the Dome) to get them to consider playin for UL.

When Northside would play in the Top 28, the Dome would regularly sell out. Fans were set up in the Convention Center with closed circuit TV to watch the game.

The reason students from 'The High' take longer in college isn't because they fail and drop so many classes, like the students from Acadiana and Comeaux (or should I say T-Boy High and T-Boy High Junior), it's because they take more classes because they choose to be more well-rounded and better versed on more topics and subjects.
