Grant was injured. I say "was" because I do not know the extent of the injury. But if I remember correctly, he has been dressing out and traveling with the team. Maybe someone can give more details.

_ At the risk of being too critical...I would say 'yes and no'. We ARE certainly going to be losing some seniors...But I don't think that we're losing too many leaders. I'm not saying that there's no leadership on this team, but I think it's an area that's lacking.

Somebody's got to step up to fotenot and tell him to get the freaking spring out of his glove. Somebody's got to step up to Hawkins and Griffen and tell them to put the ball in play. LeFleur looked like he could be that guy on saturday when he had a hard hit triple and a hard hit double.

Somebody's got to stand on a table in the middle of the clubhouse and point at every single pair of eyes watching him, including his own, and make it known that this BS will not stand, and if anyone's comfortable with it, then they need to leave.

This has now become more than beating LSU or Tulane or any other RPI game, this is more than preseason rankings, this is more than making a regional or a super regional. This all now comes down to who's got the stones, and who's got the pride to not let it continue. _

It's funny you said that, because after I posted, I went to look at the roster and saw that we don't have a fresh 9.

For the first time I began seeing guys walk back to the dugout instead of running.

We need to make sure we make our own conference tourney. I don't see our RPI getting high enough to get an at-large bid unless we win the regular season championship but at 0-3 we are behind the 8 ball already.

I still believe we will get on a role at some point because we have good pitching and the bats suck right now but in baseball the averages tend to work themselves out over a season.

I must say the fans are doing their part. With the sorry record and horrible play their were still 1501 in attendence and was a nice college atmosphere for baseball. When the team starts to play better and starts winning again it will get fun again.

I think you are correct in that the only way we make post season this year is to win the conference tournament. I guess if we go on a run and end up with quality wins over Nebraska, Rice, LSU in addition to turning it around and winning the conference regular season we could get an at large bid, but from what I have seen so far, a turn around like this is very unlikely.

We did have really nice crowds this weekend. I'll be there no matter what, but it sure is depressing to watch this kind of baseball.
