Thread: We've Been Better . . .

    UL Baseball We've Been Better . . .

A team that didn't even make the conference touranment last year is handing a pre-season top 25 team its A@@.

    WAKE UP CAJUNS

Is this going to be yet another young team that is rebuilding, like football and basketball?

I am so tired of the excuses I could puke.

I was at the Tigue today and was very disappointed. When we can pitch, we can't hit. When we hit we can't pitch. When we can pitch and hit we can't play D. I don't know what the hell is going on with this team. Were they just way over hyped? Are they just not motivated? I don't know what the problem is but this baseball team looks nowhere near a tournament team. Yuck!

In times like these I always think back to a line from the movie Great White Hype.....Don't buy in to your own bull______. I believe you are seeing this from our baseball team right now.

I am certainly not ready to give up on the boys yet. We still have 40-50 games left. With that being said, we are far away from a NCAA tournament team. I agree that we eventually need to put a whole game together (hitting, pitching, and defense). I, along with many others are just not used to seeing the Cajuns play this kind of baseball. However, I have faith in Coach Robe and his staff that they will right the ship. We only lost 2 games at the tigue all of last year. We have lost 4 out of 5 so far this year. We need to learn how to win at home. The good news is that some of the young guys are stepping up (Bowman, Goulas, Poirrier, Fontenot). We just need some of the older guys to step up and lead this team. My vote is Blaine Lefleur. He seems to be a guy that is well respected amongst his peers and a guy that has worked very hard to get to where he is now. Let's turn it around Cajuns.

    Geaux Cajuns!!!

ASU Swept the doubleheader 3-0 and 9-5

Hate to spoil the pity party over here, but dont write ASU off. We are 10 times better then we were last year...

Should be interesting tommorow. Maggard is not your typical Sunday Starter...he was a Friday night guy last year before getting injured

Sorry, pity party is just beginning, and it has nothing to do with yall. We were a preseason top 25 team, and we should be splitting double headers against top 25 competition, unfortunately, we are losing double headers to SBC middle of the conference competition at home (before you say it, yes, yall have improved, but yall have moved from the bottom to the ranks of UALR, and ULM to FAU, FIU, UNO, MT's, but yall are still not in the level of the USA's or Troys of the league). We are terrible, theres no other way to put it, no fire at all. Hopefully Robe cuts guys who are just around to have some fun and keep just the guys here to acctually play ball. God I don't know where we'll end up, but my expectations have been severely downgraded, just freaken disgraceful.
