Thread: Stadium renovations?

  1. #1

    Default Stadium renovations?

Does anyone know if they will have a live webcam following the progress of the Stadium renovations like they have done in the past on construction projects. It would be nice to see the progress from out here in Idaho.

By the way, looking forward to seeing Cajuns fans over here in Boise next year when we play BSU. Maybe we can give Coach Harsin another L. We could be his biggest nightmare if we do because I know the fans around here have our game already peciled in as a W.

From what I understand UL will have a live webcam like other projects.

Funny thing here is we have Boise penciled in as a win, along with eleven others, and a jump start in the NoLa Bowl. ;o)

Yea can't wait, unless for some unforseen problem, the wife and I are planning on going. Hope Boise is ready for sum etoufee on dem potatoes. Does Boise have some good microbreweries and food?

  5. UL Football Re: Stadium renovations?

Ha, the original stadium was supposedly modeled after the then new stadium at Kentucky.

I'm seriously looking forward to the renovations! From what I read, the stadium will be modeled after Minnesota's stadium. That is one nice stadium.

Agreed, a webcam would be great for the out of towners to monitor the progress.

Has anyone heard anything about a new scoreboard for next season? Currently, our baseball field has a much nicer scoreboard than the football field. The non-working south end zone board that is currently being used as a billboard is an embarrassment. I would love to see a scoreboard like Mississippi State.

As for as the food, there are mostly chains but you can find a good restaurant here and there. Boise is a very pretty city. They have the greenbelt which follows the Boise river from park to park. It is a nice place to walk, bike, etc. and it passes through the University. Boise is on the foothills of the Rockies with skiing only 8 miles from Downtown at Bogus Basin. It will be too early for skiing but it is worth it to take the short drive in the mountains to Bogus Basin which overlooks the City. A Pretty view of the Valley.

Been there, been on the turf too. Boise is like the liberal version of Lafayette. Lol

How's the bar and nightlife scene around the stadium and downtown? Also, how far is downtown from the stadium?

JUST CURIOUS----Do many people go downtown after a UL game --I am thinking that it is only 5 minutes away---Been South too long and we just go back to the T-gating tent---I remember going to Deano's or the Don's on Johnson or Pete's after---What do the non-T-gaters do???

If we had one for the softball stadium, they ran out of tape.
