Gee Big Buff, I have never seen such a BS group of words. Sure we are young at those positions, but we did not improve. I can tell YOU and HUD this, I would say the same thing to his or your face. This crap about never been good and be glad for small goodies is pure BS. I can promise you Hud had no such goals this year. He wanted that championship without a passenger. HE IS the head coach, he will never rat out his team who just backed into a championship. Fans on the other hand have no reason to cover up weaknesses.

This is what it boils down to... we have individuals in our fan base. We have individuals on this fan forum. Let the individuals be themselves. We all belong. Geez gents ( and possibly a lady or 2), let's all take a breath. Look the loss to the hoax blows because it is the hoax. Our guys played with a lack of ddetail and still had a chance to win. Losing to South Al. sucked because it cost us an outright championship.
The fans were upset, Coach was upset....that's football.

I don't have a problem with Hud ' s post game. It's understandable. No explanation for it is needed. Anyone who thinks that the program is not headed in the right direction probably hasn't been with The University for very long.
While I do think we have things to work on, I have to believe that we will need to prepare ourselves, as fans, for the occasional bump in the road.
Be annoyed if you want. Be upset if it makes you feel better. But remember where we were just a few years ago.

I know...it's silly of me to think, like Z has point out, that anything will change on this board. You have a few guys that are optimists, like me, and many more pessimists and experts on the game of football and fans bases. Then there is the obligatory I'll crack your jaw in half, but I won't because I just love you so much...oh and the grow a pair line. All in the effort to ensure that the board stays in line.

They are right about one thing though...no one needs to defend HUD. He is perfectly capable of sifting through the BS all by himself.

Go back and check the Stewart is out as DC thread and you will see the you are completely wrong. I supported HUD's choice to get rid of him.

Although I prefer a more disciplined and calmer demeanor under pressure, HUD is similar to many other coaches when things go bad ... they lose control and rant ... not that uncommon.

And if HUD can't handle the pressure and fans in the Sun Belt, then things will only get worst if he ever has the opportunity as a head coach in the Big 5 conferences.

Mack Brown at Texas is an example of a coach who has handled the fan and competitive pressure in poor seasons extremely well and has seldom embarrassed his university with his words and actions.

This is true, although I think Hud was doing just the opposite. It was just awkward.
