In watching the video... it was hectic. Loud around him. Hud was p*ssed that he lost. He couldn't hear a damn thing he was being asked, was rushing to get to his team and get the hell out of Mobile, and was guessing at what the question would be.

He responded in the most positive manner possible, while trying to get the fans fired up for the bowl and congratulate his team on a special season.

Look - it sucked. We should've won both of those. But these guys are champions, and they need to get their due for winning 8 in a row.

    That's all.

Let's go kick the crap out of Tulane.

I would seriously doubt he heard us....this was so late in the game that only 200 UL fans remained. The rest were so cold they left, and weren't sitting through that.

It (the cheer) was not meant against the team...more of a look what we did. It seemed like everything was against us on Saturday in Mobile. Offense couldn't do jack, defense couldn't stop jack, refs def seemed against us all night....it was us fans being frustrated about the night in general.

I also help take down the pole after the A&M game and have a tailgating spot and a all Cajun level RCAF member. But none of that matters. Everyone can have an opinion and I have had one for many years.

I have never cared about clique and never will. In fact I am much like HUD and speak for the heart and many times it gets my but in a sling. I am man enough to get out of it myself.

Like it or not this board can get VERY negative and it seriously hurts the cause. Yes you say what ever you want, but being a whining two year old does absolutely nothing for our public image or our fight for the name. All whining does is setup the entire fan base for being ridiculed by in state and out of state schools. Hell the Tulane board is already saying that we are going to blame them if ESPN get the name wrong. No I really don't care what they think, but as a whole we should be very concerned about the public perception of UL and it's fans. Perception is reality that our small budget can't make up for.

Now J1M you may be right that I shouldn't have kick Zeph in the nuts. And yes ,Zeph, The USA was embarrassing. But I just can't stand people beating a horse to death. The calls to can coach Willis are ridiculous. Yes the D needs work but show me a D that doesn't.

I appreciate his rant...it shows he has passion and I agree...the haters need to get off the bus.
You seriously think our perception among others in this state would be different if we were all sunshine and lollipops on the message board?

And who the ____ called for Willis to be fired? Other than one comment of that nature which was quickly shot down, there has been no cry for his head. There has been legitimate questions about our defensive scheme amid concerns that it would catch up to us if offense wasn't clicking. Guess what? That's what happened the past two games.

Likely, you are looking at a big picture of the negativity and a lot of that has come in way of complaints about the name issue and lack of facilities movement. Again, I typically don't get too carried away with those topics as I am not as interested in digesting them daily but if you are going to call me out, you better get your facts straight.
Thanks for telling how I should feel, what I should do, and what I was looking at when I posted. Likely you are wrong in saying that my posted was commenting about the name and facilities issues. My posted was aimed at the negative people on this board that are overly critical = haters of a program that in reality is very late coming to the party and very young in terms of knowing how to win and in turn sustaining the momentum that UL has earned. When is the last time we had 11 players on the all conference team?

Some of the same people that disagree with his emotionally charged rant are the same ones who go one emotionally charged rants on this board. HUD, staff, players, and admin have done a great job this year. Were they perfect? Absolutely not, but they are some of the best this University has ever seen and I think the fans and supporters should act like we have earned one of the best years ever in Cajun sports instead of whining about a leaky defense that we probably can't fix due to existing personnel. I feel, you should look at the year as a whole instead of looking at just one game like stAte to say they performed to there potential. Granted it was a best game and if we take that to NOLA the wave will be in a for a long night, but there many obstacles that they had to conquer this year and the haters are not taking that into account...they are instead being neophytes. This University can't afford to have neophytes being their voice. If you look at other boards that is exactly what is happening.

Cause you can take it to the bank that if the negativity continues, especially after the record breaking year we have had, we will be prematurely looking for a new head coach.

And FYI the first two paragraphs were a response to GS.

Well, then you should gave addressed them rather than project their stupidity on the fans on this board.

I love you Bigbuf and GreatestStory. I want to be allowed to stick around. I know I post a lot... and I'm pretty sure I'm not in a clique... but I want you to allow me to keep posting. I do criticize and blow off steam on here. But I also write a lot of positives. I sometimes pump sunshine. Other times I pump mud. It happens. I ask for your forgiveness for my past posts and my future posts. I will do it again. I know me. I just can't quit. Please allow me to remain a Cajun fan and a member of this forum. I sorry...

Go back and check the Stewart is out as DC thread and you will see the you are completely wrong. I supported HUD's choice to get rid of him.
