Riding a three-game losing streak, UL's baseball team could use a taste of home.

The Cajuns will play their home opener at 6:30 tonight against Southern Miss (4-1) and try to get back on track in a matchup of ranked teams at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

UL, ranked 25th nationally by Baseball America, opened the season with two wins at the UTSA Baseball Classic, but has followed with three consecutive losses. Now the Cajuns (2-3) are home for seven of their next eight games, starting with Southern Miss - which is ranked 29th nationally by the NCBWA.
