I like JD. He's always a reasonable poster. He doesn't need to like or give two craps about our school, because he doesn't go here. As long as he treats people with respect.

No argument with your comments, in fact I'd be happy to buy him a drink in NOLA. Just saying its a two way street and he doesn't seem to mind those sentiments directed at us by his buds. His post would have more credibility with me if he posted that admonition on his own message board.

    FLUSH THE WAVE!!!!!!!

Both our boards and this one have been very snarky/personal/negative over the last week. Healthy smack is great when it's rankings/facilities/records/w:l's but it's crossing into really nasty territory.

I think both fan bases can agree that bringing up religion/region/race and other sweeping generalizations is wrong. Both universities are diverse in student body and culture and this should be celebrated, not thrown around like it has been. So I ask to keep that down as well as the 'I'm gonna have a beat down on these Toolame fans" or "I told my wife to do x y z and I'd bail her out" crap. Unnecessary and killing the fun. Violence isn't funny.

Good luck. I'm impressed with your ticket sales and enthusiasm. I don't doubt that you'll out number us. Hopefully I get to be the one cheering in the end. Either way I'll be at Ms Maes after celebrating a fun day. Good luck and keep the smack talk fun.

PS, to the fan that gave me some fried gator last year at your tailgate. Yum. Please bring more to New Orleans.
    Thanks JD

Considering I went to a small, state supported school, was the first member of my family to go to college (except an uncle that played football at Washington), and teach at a small, state supported school, try again.

And I never came on here with a condescending attitude. I came on here with respect for ULL (I still have it for the university). I left with something else.

If I thumb my nose at ya'll now (and I regularly do) it has a lot more to do with what I saw on this board and at the game in Lafayette than any elitism on my part.

Those in Tulane land that obsess with calling you USL, may well be elitist. And you can hate on me all you want, I could care less, but painting with a broad, too-easy brush does your argument no good.

I haven't been on here to read in a few weeks, sorry if this response was delayed. I checked in today to see what ya'll were saying about the bowl. I hope (most of) your fans have a pleasant experience in NOLA (outside the game) and that you are treated better in our stadium than my wife and child were in yours (i.e. frat boy exposing himself to us and saying "Suck it TU" before we even had said a word to him).

We will have a good time in all aspects of this weekend. But really...the frat boy was very uncalled for and it is not indicative of all the fan base. We regularly have other teams fans come out and have a great time at our tail gates. But they come with a health dose of respect (Texas State comes to mind) and we in turn respect them. But like Hammer has said, it's a two way street that most of the green weenies do not travel on. So let's cut the BS with the broad stoking brush crap and get to the point. We are a threat to Tulane (as said on YOGWF) and every other University in this state. We were a threat back on the 80's when LSU was having such crappy years and we decided to get uppity and change our name. Your thumbing up of thine noses proves it. Make no mistake about we have turned a corner and EVERYONE have seen just a small bit of what the Cajun Nation is capable of and the best has yet to come.

    Flush the wave!!! Geaux Cajuns!!!

Yea, right. You're so full of your high opinion of yourself it's laughable.

As for frat boys, I'm sure we can expect nothing but the highest standards from the toolame frats.

If we all judged each other by our frat guy's actions, I would assume Tulane students spent their time burning each other with with crab boil or running a massive drug rings.

If they are anything like the Kappa Sig's, KA's and Sig Eps from other Universities they HAVE NO ROOM to talk!
